The Repeater (2015)
HD Video with Sound, 5:17 min
The Repeater takes place at an amateur radio station in a remote island. An unexpected shift in the natural phenomena turns into cyclical the otherwise longitudinal motion of the radio waves. As a result, the operators’ identities multiply inside the communication channels. All transmissions get distorted and signals are colliding. The Repeater, immersed in this state of multiplying parallel worlds, is struggling to transcend his duplicates and maintain a sense of self. But the theory of duplication objection challenges the personal identity of a plural self: You can never know if you are the very same person, for fear of an unknown double running around somewhere else.
